I thought this kid was poised to make a big contribution this year and so far-not so much.

What made you think he was going to be a big contributor this year? From the beginning of practice, I thought it was well known to most that he would play the least this year out of the three freshmen. He has a lot of skill but playing PG at this level isn't easy. It will take time.

Kid has the skills. Just has to put it together. If only we had coaches that could develop a point gaurd...

Hopefully he gets some good burn against he lesser teams. We'll need him next season.

He's not going to get a lot of minutes this season but will have a great learning opportunity playing with Nic and for our coaching staff. He will be in the mix along with Shake and Wilson next year and I would expect all of them to see time at the PG position

I guess Shake did not take as long to learn the PG position as a freshman.

At least he can handle. No way we win that game on Sunday last season.

Shake and Barefield have a different game. Barefield can be a true set up gaurd. Just less polished out of HS. However I am not sure how much time he will get with Tom Wilson coming in

Wilson is more of a shooting guard, now DeShawn Watson is more of a point guard.

You throw out blanket statements with the best of them, and on almost every sports topic. Are you saying you thought Shake played the point well Sunday? The PG by committee was average at best in that game. Shake is a serious high level talent but he too has A LOT to learn at the point. He can step on the floor and score right now with the best of them but just like Sed, he has a lot to learn running the point at the major college level. I would love to know what you saw that makes you believe he has it figured out already.

Because the coaches have played him more at the point than Sed. Not saying that he foes not have a lot to learn but it is clear he is ahead of Sed at this point or Sed would have started or played more minutes.

I know people might be down on Sed because he is not getting a ton of minutes but he has all the raw talent you want to see for a pass first true point guard. The fact that Shake (who is more physically gifted) is ahead of him at this point is not a knock on Sed. He has a great opportunity to learn and really contribute once nic is gone.

I don't think Shake is more physically gifted because if you have seen Sed in practice you know he has all the tools to be a point guard. Both he and Shake have played PG all their HS days. Just that Shake is a bit ahead of him as far as doing what Coach Brown likes at PG. Not a knock on him as he will learn. I think all of our freshmen are quality players.
