Oregon OC Scott Frost to be named HC at UCF

Postby ponyinNC » Tue Dec 01, 2015 8:36 am

That's what the UCF Rivals site is reporting. Quite a change in system from GOL, but I like that hire.

So instead of the Baylor offense they are getting the Oregon offense. Good choice either way.

AAC is seriously a coaching hotbed of young talent. Rhule, Herman, Morris, Taggert, Montgomery, now Frost too...heck even Diaco.

Then you have the old guys like Tubs and Ruffin who probably aren't looking to move on from their current spots.

I could see a guy like Lincoln Riley fitting well with this group of coaches. Tulane would do well to hire someone like that.

The up and coming coaches have realized that the AAC is on the verge of being P6.

Or they could realize this is a good stepping stone conference to get to a P5 job.

Or they realize it pays more than a coordinator spot.

It is hard to get a top 16 job. Dont look at it as P5 vs G5...look at it as Elite jobs vs Everyone else. There are G5 gigs that pay way more than some P5 gigs.

I hate to saw off your assumptions with a hard set of facts but.

Not a whole lot of P5 jobs that pay way more than some G5 gigs. Most P5 jobs for the most part are stepping stone jobs. HCCM will not be here that long if he starts winning and that will prove my point.

Morris will only leave for a premier Texas job and there are only 2 of them...Texas or A&M.

Sumlin keeps losing 4-5 games per year and it won't be long. If it happens in 2016 he's on the hot seat, repeat in 2017 and he's probably out......just in time to hand off to Morris. (If Morris squeaks into a bowl game in 17)
