Some people are speculating that it's Mike Norvell, OC at Arizona State. If true, then this is a good hire by the Tigers.

Yep, I think Montgomery was a good hire.

I think he's an able play-caller and can probably run a program well enough, but I don't think he has the recruiting abilities (or the contacts/ability to put together a top-notch staff), and in the long run I think Morris and Herman will be far, far more successful. When those three were linked to the SMU job, I pegged Montgomery as a distant third.

fair criticism-but he was a pretty darn good hire for Tulsa the smallest school in Division 1A. Let's see how he does on the recruiting trail-he was too slow off the gun this last recruiting season recruiting in Texas. SMU and UH really got the jump on Tulsa

Norvell was ASU's top recruiter. Not saying I would have him over Morris or Herman.

He said he want to recruit the city of Memphis first and then branch out. I am excited what recruits in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiania he could bring our way on signing day. All our commits love the hire and his wide open offense. He said he will place no limits on this team and wants them to take the next step to reaching the next level.

He got me pumped and wanting to strap up and play for him!!! Very well spoken for a young coach.
