Houston HC Tom Herman signed new 5-year deal this morning for approx. $2.8 million annually & includes $200,000 more for staff per source. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UHIf we find similar success as Houston with Chad Morris, how much do you think we would be willing to pay to keep him?
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UH
What do you mean "we" paleface. ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UHwonder what the buyout terms might be and whether he has an opt out for certain schools?
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UH$5,000,000 bonus if they go to a P5 conference
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UHYes we would pay Chad especially if he gets us in a P5
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UHnice to be able to use state funds
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UH
$2.5 million buyout if before 2/2017. $2.25 million before 2/2019. Reduced buyout related to indoor practice facility: $2.5 million buyout to be reduced by 25 percent if the planned $20 million indoor facility project is not approved by the Board of Regents by Sept. 1, 2016 $2.25 million buyout to be reduced by 50 percent if construction of the indoor football practice facility is not at or near completion by Dec. 1, 2017 reduced by 75 percent if not moved into facility by Dec. 1, 2018
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UH
Technically it's not a P5 conference. It's being in a conference with annual TV revenue >$20million per member.
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UHThat's an awesome buyout and bonus setup.
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UHCM $2M + $2M = $4M
TH $1.35M + $2.8M = $4.15M Safe to say, if CM has meaningful success next season, he probably deserves $3M annually minimal, assuming we can retain him. As for P5 incentives, we would be wise to offer him $20M (if structured properly) Last edited by SoCal_Pony on Sun Dec 06, 2015 5:22 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UHTheir AAC "mirror school", Memphis State, has to be saying _______ !?!
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UH
They are: http://csnbbs.com/thread-761669.html But as I pointed out to them Houston has been down this road before and was smart enough to get in front of it this time.
Re: Herman Signs New Deal @ UH
This is a great setup as it keeps the school on track with facilities upgrades
