SMU Memphis ticket questionLast year when my wife and I took a trip to Memphis to catch the game we ended up on about the 400th row which was fine but a bit scary with some of the meanest, nastiest fans I have ever heard. I don't remember if I got the tickets through SMU or not. We are thinking about going again this year and I was wondering how do we get tickets behind the bench? Is that something SMU does? Not sure we can afford it, but it is something I would love to see about. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
SMU Memphis ticket questionI needed oxygen in those seats, and they were through SMU. I think David Miller had seats behind the bench. I bet if you funded an IPF you could get some.

Re: SMU Memphis ticket questionLast year I got my ticket through the service affiliated with U of M ticket office to sell unused season tickets and wound up mid-court about 20 rows up with the ticket license crowd. Other years I've grabbed tickets from scalpers and gotten decent seats. If the Tigers are having an off year (and they are off to an off start), there will be plenty of ducats available on the secondary market. The tickets allocated to visiting teams are pretty heinous.
Re: SMU Memphis ticket questionThe SMU seats behind the bench are usually reserved for player/coach families and guests, and David Miller. I will add that I asked very nicely a couple years ago and got a seat there in Memphis, so it can be done. Just depends on if there are extras and maybe if your name is on a big building (not me).

Re: SMU Memphis ticket questionMemphis Bball fans are one of the biggest collection of "chip on my shoulder", under educated, miserable, identify crisis, angry people you will EVER encounter.....we moved our seats 3X last year..same nasty, pissy people throughout the stadium.....but, think about it....walk in their shoes....I sort of get it....we now opt for viewing the game from our safe and secure suburban home.
Re: SMU Memphis ticket question
This is sorry. Don't expect cookies and milk in someone else's house. You're there to win. It's going to be hostile. Yes, there are ways to go about it, but don't expect me to buy beer and exchange pleasantries with big blue fans on Tuesday. They will be mocked and ridiculed. And I wouldn't expect any of the places we visit to do anything except try to give me ****. Pay Lashlee more money
Re: SMU Memphis ticket questionHA.....mean spirited, ugly, nasty, profanity laced interactions I hope is not your style?

Re: SMU Memphis ticket questionHmmh...Went 2 years ago and sat in the nosebleeds with the common folk from Memphis and they were nice as could be. Loud and obnoxiously supportive of their team but never rude toward us - and we had our full SMU regalia on........
Tulsa last year at their place, talk about a bunch of a$$holes......

Re: SMU Memphis ticket questionHA.....Memphis State crazy was a lady....it was unreal, somewhat unsettling....we sort of vowed not to give MSU anymore of our $$$$....on the other hand, Tulsa fans have always been great...you just never know.
