What this post also shows is that you don't even have to be a successful Texas high school coach to be successful at the college level. How many state championships for Graham in high school? Briles had 4 and Morris had a few too so that is understandable. Other than that it used to be the only way to get a shot at a college job was because you were coming from a school or area that was full of D1 recruits year after year.
