I texted the Moody number when this happened last night. Nic hits a huge 3 crowd goes nuts and in the timeout they do this ridiculous bit. Killed the energy immediately...It's really not this hard

Laughable may well be an understatement. That we can't do a better job, at least eliminating the 3rd-grade finding Peruna bit, is pathetic. And I guess we'll just ride that player intro for the rest of the year while wondering if the wizard that did it was ten or a thousand times better than who/what we've got now. There should be one in the athletic department that does nothing but go to others games, gathering ideas and the best bits they use, and coming back to create a game day presentation for both fb and bb that captures the very best elements of best out there. That's how you get some to attend a bb game against Lil Sis of the Poor U and a fb game featuring a 2-10 team. You simply have to work harder and smarter in the areas where you can immediately control the outcome.

Definitely. It was nice to not be nervous and tense during the anthem for a change.

I know we like to comment on programming (and it has gotten worse every year) but I think it still compares favorably to the programming at the Indiana game last year.
I'm just comparing SMU to SMU two years ago. Shouldn't be a leap. For as much as we all pay, people should be losing jobs.

Agree Cox! Fail at your job you get booted. Just life. Nothing personal. And the National Anthem was absolutely stirring. Great job gentlemen.

To be fair, when they played it going into a tv timeout, it sounded really cool on tv because you could pretty much only hear the students going "ohhhhhhhhh oh ohhhh oh ohhh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhhh". Honestly got me fired up sitting on my couch by myself hearing that.

Agree with LA. Many of the half time shows have been good. Glad you're giving credit where it's due.

I've got to ask, did this Dudley Do-Right song also come with the screaming female band member? If so, I totally missed it. It was a custom for several years for a female member of the Mustang Band to scream very very loudly (damsel in distress) during the playing of this song. Of course Moody was so empty most of the time that you could actually hear the screams.

Definitely. It was nice to not be nervous and tense during the anthem for a change. Important or Not? Our team: their arms over each others' shoulders, head down, looking at the floor. Michigan team: standing up straight with their hand over their heart looking directly at the U.S. flag. Our students know the protocol, the fans know the protocol, 43 and the Mrs. know the protocol. Is our team trying to make a "statement" or do they just not know national anthem etiquette? Cannen Cunningham was the only only player in compliance throughout his tenure. The team is out on the court and their disregard for this patriotic custom is disrespectful. I'm not going to comment further but I just wondered what the regulars thought.... Important or Not?Agree with DFFH - anthem was awesome vs Michigan.
