Re: Texas Recruitinghalf empty stikes again
Re: Texas Recruiting
Hardly. Hoopmanx is pretty wired in and was hoping he might have some thoughts about what is going on. Editors on other sites have mentioned a few things this week. Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Texas Recruiting
I think it sorta speaks for itself. Helicopter Mom, homesick kid who has no grades. Mom wants him out and I'm sure we'll oblige, so longs he meets our apr requirements. If he doesn't, no release until he does. If it gets long in the tooth, I'm sure Mom will pout to media about no release, while we'll have to be quiet that Sed is a coddled, Mama's boy, that has mad trouble in the classroom.
Re: Texas RecruitingReally wish that when Larry gets back he can turn Sed around. Kid has the raw skills to be a great college PG.
Re: Texas Recruiting
Whatever happened to moms like in "Glory Road" that'll helicopter in and drag their kid to class?
Re: Texas Recruiting
He goes to class from my understanding so that is not the issue. Just getting the grades. #HammerDown
Re: Texas RecruitingI'd assume he is taking 101 level classes in an easy major right. Hard to understand how you could not make a B- average in those circumstances.
Re: Texas Recruitinghe's a History major-he actually decided to get an education not a throw-away degree and for that I admire him greatly.

Re: Texas Recruiting
101 level classes are not easy for everyone. Who knows. he also might have a learning disability. We just know he is struggling in class. #HammerDown

Do tell what you majored in.
Re: Texas Recruiting
It's not easy moving across the country and away from home, training and competing at this level, going to school and balancing the (how shall I say….ummm) social opportunities that you find at SMU. I did all of that and had a 1.6 my second semester freshman year. I was just too friggin tired to go to class. Of course Cardinal Puff's and Up Your Alley both gave me 4.0's. Party at The Wopper!
Re: Texas RecruitingBTW it should go without saying that these days you can't just take Level 101 courses-you have to declare a major and progress toward that degree by start of your 5th semester

Re: Texas RecruitingAre we still talking about Sed? The last few comments seem more directed to Markus.
Re: Texas RecruitingI distinctly remember reading on PonyFans that Sed was an honor roll type student,
came from a good family; and that it was good that we were recruiting kids for the future who would not have trouble in school. Does anyone else remember those postings?
