1. Things were horrific with Tubbs.
2. Things were really bad with Doherty.
3. Things were pretty bad with Dement. Maybe 5% good.

I "took attendance" more than once. I think my lowest total was 326 at a Doh game. Had to love those green and gold (everything but red and blue) greek shirts in the student "section".

During Doh years, if you told me . . .
the 5 year NCAA probation from Doh staff tweeting recruits would ultimately lead to Larry Brown being investigated and suspended, and next to no one on PF would understand why SMU would be reprimanded for history of NCAA violations WHILE ON PROBATION FOR BASKETBALL RECRUITING VIOLATIONS, I would expect that's about par for the course.

On a smaller scale, if you had told me we could lose MK in the first minute and still more than double up Michigan on the glass, I would have asked for your bong

1) We are an elite school, but not so elite that academics becomes a hindrance to athletics, that places us in a group of maybe 40 schools in America.
2) We are located in a thriving metropolitan area, that places us in a group of maybe 15 schools.
3) We are located in a hotbed of local HS athletic talent, that places us in a group of maybe 10 schools.
4) We have affluent alumni who can make things happen, that places us in a group of maybe 50 schools.
How many schools fulfill all the above requirements?, maybe 10.
There is absolutely no reason we shouldn't be a consistent Top 25 team in both FB and especially BB. Shame on our leadership for allowing even diehard fans on this board to think otherwise.
AGREE.....why do we feel compelled to cheat, in hoops? Golf?

We are a private institution so slow the roll on FB.

I'd like to change the wording to history of being punished for NCAA violations. Schools get caught and get wrist slaps all the time...most big time schools break more rules in FB and BB monthly than we might have done all year. Our problem (outside the actual acts) is that we were punished for it.
