Is there anyone who wants to win (Nic) Moore?

Postby PonyPride » Sun Dec 13, 2015 2:36 pm

Few, if any, can become a college student-athlete without being competitive. But since his arrival at SMU, coaches and teammates have talked about guard Nic Moore's rare competitiveness. He plays through pain, has the ability and the will to take over games and backs down from nobody. Moore, associate head coach Tim Jankovich and several teammates visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the origin of his inner fire, whether it can be passed down to younger teammates and how Moore's intensity affects the rest of the Mustangs.

That is a great article and interviews. I loved reading how Nic is committed to SMU, never considered leaving.

Great read! Thanks.

Nic is definitely one of the players I have enjoyed watching the most in my years of watching SMU basketball.

Thanks Pony Pride. It has been obvious on the playing floor that Nic is a special player,
and these types of players don't come along frequently. He is definitely one of a kind.

Several times in the past two years when we lost momentum you can see Nic
physically take over a game.

Against Michigan he did it once in the first half when he hit two 3's in a row and fed JT with two beautiful setup passes for dunks and again in the second half, Michigan was making a rally and Nic purposely came down and hit an NBA 3, then hit Frazier who hit another NBA 3, and then he served up a lob to JT and a lob to Ben Moore.

He won't be easy to replace.

Who's the last SMU player who was as hard to replace as Nic will be? Sasser? Armstrong?

Maybe I got fooled by Nic's height. I thought he would be good, but nothing like this good -- so much fun to watch.
