The first game is listed as 8 Eastern on ESPN's website. The second is 7 Eastern.

My memory of this was OOC we defeated Kentucky @Kentucky, then later North Carolina @North Carolina.

Had we defeated Tech @Lubbock, we most difenitely get ranked #1 as there was no other games for us between Tech & when the rankings came out.

Game was shown live in Dallas and what was so frustrating IMO was that here was a team that had played so well that season, knew they could be ranked #1 with a victory, and they were terribly flat for the entire game until their very late run.

Something happened though as from that moment on, they weren't the dominating team we had witnessed earlier in the season. They floundered their way out of the Top 20.

I had heard rumors that Bliss had a difficult time controlling Carl Wright. Did that play a role in it?, who knows.
