Given were SMU currently is, and our need/desire to elevate our position. CM and company might be willing to endure a helicopter or two in the near term to get us into the long term if the opp presents itself. I am not sure that it will.

From a talent aspect, in a heartbeat.

But Moore is one of the ringleaders in our '16 class, and letting him walk would make our coaches look like hypocrites, especially after the Noah Spears saga

If I'm wrong here please let me know. First off, a transfer player would not count against our allowed recruiting number of 25, only the 85 total allowed scholarships number correct? Second, theoretically, schools aren't allowed to recruit transfers. The transferring player has to contact the school, correct? Lastly, I would think in this situation, Davis might have more to worry about than Moore. Surely Moore does not expect to start as a freshman.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

If he's smart he'll just go into the mlb draft. No future for him in football after college.
