Also - Coach Morris got a nice DMN article that fires out the warning: "If you are committed to us and you start taking visits and we find out about it - you've just lost your spot on the team."
Doubt the recruits are too scared......especially the good ones with P5 offers and plenty of options.
Most of these kids with multiple offers want to take their visits and enjoy the experience, feed their ego, and really get a feel for the program and school. If your kid has options, what player/parent wouldn't want to do their due diligence and visit the schools up close and personal? This is a huge decision for these kids for the next 4-5 years of their lives. What would you think if you had a kid with 10 offers, and 1 of the schools said 'ours is off the table' if you take other visits?
The risk of losing better players with this type of ultimatum (if true), would seem to outweigh the benefit.
I believe others have visited other schools that are committed to SMU but they got with the coaches before they did it.

Sometimes you don't want your spot taken so you commit then visit. Happens all the time.
two way street-you want to visit-then SMU Coaches have to move on and look for alternatives. There are only 3 weeks of "live recruiting" left. I wouldn't be surprised if SMU had someone in mind just as good
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Aren't SMU coaches trying to flip recruits committed to other schools to SMU as well?

My son, you are naïve in the ways of the world. I speak from experience. I too tried this same technique with my girlfriend. You know where I do some looking around and take some "Unofficial Visits." I tried to explain it away with some lines about conversations I've had in the past, but she wasn't buying it. She threatened to do more than pull my "Schollie." Just checked, I'm still good. #Beware of Lorena. Mama ain't happy, nobody happy.
So I don't completely defame myself, I am kidding. Merry Christmas to the SMU family!
