Don't get me wrong, I'm impressed that we're sitting here potentially staring at 9-0 without Larry, but reality is we should be 9-0 after tonight regardless of whether Larry, Jank, or June Jones was on the bench. That said, I'd been all in favor of the students doing something for him
If you are going to focus on one part of the RPI formula why not consider the whole thing. Even with the 162nd ranked SOS, which hurts RPI, SMU is still 23rd in RPI. Nothing wrong with that. Also, through Saturday when SMU had an RPI of 7 our SOS was 72. That is not through the roof but it shows how much it was brought down by the last two games which we did win in routs with 7 players each night.

Jank is a good coach, he will probably get offers for lower open P5 jobs, hopefully we can keep him. He is a good recruiter and has demonstrated can get players to To play hard in tough situations. Perfect fit for smu going forward.

Coach Jan knew this was a temp gig. And he made the most of it. He did a great job and have some significant differences in coaching form LB. He showed some philosophical differences between him and LB and succeeded with those differences. He did a great job and rested some key players before LB returned. He did an outstanding job with the current team and providing for a long season team result. Outstanding job.

He's got a guaranteed three year contract in waiting for a Top25 gig. Larry is probably done within two years.

Thanks Tim. You are a good recruiter, an excellent coach, and a skilled communicator. I hope you stick with SMU. I know that you are very loyal to Larry - you two coaches work very well together and it shows in the performance of your players. Both of you excel at teaching ball movement and sharing which is what is making our team so exciting. I have enjoyed your press conferences very much and have been impressed with your personality and clarity of your answers.

No doubt. Jank's post game interviews beat the heck out of Larry's

I honestly didn't think he talked or smiled until he took over for Larry

Honestly, Larry's pressers suck.
