Yes, you don't get married to that women and it saves you money and other penalties. But the point is if you are engaged and you don't like something or find out something you don't like after you are engaged you need to get out then not go ahead and get married when it is not the person you really want. That is advice for man or a women.

If you marry someone that you are not in love with you can end up falling in love with someone you are not married to.

Right, some people commit but they are not in love. Happens all the time that is one reason why divorce is so high now. Also if you get engaged and find something out wrong with the person you that is a deal breaker then it is best for you to get out before you marry them. Now regarding players some player commit when scholarships get low on a team. Some coaches tell them that they better commit or their spot will be gone. So they commit and of UT offers later they might change commitments. Remember, I beleive the NCAA states that verbal commitments are NON BINDING, however when you sign it is.
