National Letter of Intent stipulates you complete one academic year before transferring to another NLI school. Since he is a true FR, he has not completed the year requirement. Unless A&M agrees to release his NLI he's supposed to lose a year.
Here's what I'm referring to from the NLI website. NLI Penalty A student who does not attend the signing institution for at least one academic year (two semesters or three quarters) must serve one academic year in residence and will lose one season of competition in all sports upon enrollment at another NLI member institution.

just about every school gives a full release with some restrictions to schools on its schedule. It happens all the time.

They also think they are going to at least 4 of the P5 conferences and that Herman is staying forever.

I still think there's a good chance he's going to switch to baseball full-time. He could enroll at a JUCO and be eligible for the next MLB draft.

Well, they are likely at the front of the P5 line, they did get Herman to extend when most thought he was gone, and Murray would just happen to be eligible just as Ward is graduating. Also not a stretch to think Murray could be as good or better than Ward, in Herman's offense, and bring a lot of attention to himself and the program. If he doesn't head to a P5 school, Houston would seem to be the perfect fit. No?

Similar case could be made for a lot of programs. He's not going to Houston when he knows Herman probably won't even be there in 2 years.... The whole problem now stems from coaching inconsistency.
He's definitely not coming here, bit I also highly doubt he has any interest in living anywhere near UH. My best guess if he stays in state would be Texas or TCU. Texas has a similar coaching issue but I'd imagine he could get comfortable that they would find a good replacement, unlike Houston.

Houston is not in the mix. Haven't heard of TCU either. The real question is how fast can his uncle teach him the words to TAPS?

I saw a scroll across the screen that said they would release him to any school not in SEC or on A&M schedule for next 4 years.

Websites say Guyton was suspended for 'non-football related reasons.' Academics, maybe?
Coupla websites have him looking at OSU.
