Moody Madness night at the AAC

Postby LA_Mustang » Mon Dec 28, 2015 10:20 pm

for the Mavs/Bucks game. I would've went had I known. It's cool hearing Harp talk about that night and seeing the highlights on the broadcast. Did any PFs go to that game? As Followill said, at least 35,000 people claim to have been there but Moody only held 9,000. Combining the Mavs snd SMU is heaven for me.

I remember it well, but was not there. I did get some commemorative cups at the Mav game tonight, though.
Yeah LA_Mustang, my two favorite things, SMU and Mavericks together for that historic game.

I went, saw the Mavs get a win, and got the commemorative cups. Banner night all around.

LA I was really there that night....upper seats and it was loud and fun. We beat the Sonics and I was from the Northwest before attending SMU, so it was somewhat bittersweet for me.

I was there as well. I had little knowledge beforehand of Moody Madness since it occurred before I was born, but it was cool to see Moody on all the cups and the feature video shown during a timeout with old highlights and all!

Mavs are a sneaky good team this year. Matthews is getting healthy and finding his groove. Parsons' health is improving. Dirk is still putting up 17 a night. New additions Deron Williams and Zaza Pechulia have been better than expected.

It's probably all a moot point with GS running away with it but the Mavs are doing an excellent job of staying relevant when no one expected anything out of them this year.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Rick Carlisle is a friken magician; top 2-3 coach in the league (behind Pop).

If you don't already love Zaza, you will after watching this video. NOTHING EASY, GAME 7 BABY

Very cool. I love to hear people talk about the Moody Madness game. My stepdad took me to my first Mavs game two years later (1986) when I was old enough to understand what was going on and I was hooked. The Mavs have always been my favorite team. SMU basketball is the only thing that comes close.

Never understood why SMU didn't capitalize on the "Moody Madness" name with all its history but went instead with "Moody Magic"

I recall they tried the Madness angle but after the 'magical' opening against uconn that term just sort of stuck. The mob carried it.

For some reason, I don't think the game was on tv. For some reason, I remember listening to the game on my radio while practicing my shot on the door mounted nerf hoop.

Of course, I could have been grounded for some sort of shenanigan.
