SMU fans at road gamesIn LB's post game interview he went out of his way to mention the SMU fans at today's game. He said he remembers year one when basically no SMU fans traveled and look how it is now. He was almost giddy talking about it. I believe he is really proud of how our fan base has grown in his time here. I thought that was really cool.

Re: SMU fans at road gamesYou are welcome Larry now let me on the plane
Re: SMU fans at road gamesGood to hear. Could not hear any SMU fans until the very end but it must have just been the way the sound was picked up by tv. Good job travelers.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: SMU fans at road gamesESPN on its broadcasts seems to sound mix the crowd noise out. It was hard to determine how loud the Tulsa or SMU people actually were.
FOX takes the opposite approach - you could hear everything the crowd was screaming in Vegas. Anyways, I'm looking forward to supporting SMU in NOLA. ![]()

Re: SMU fans at road gamesI'll be at the Tulane game. NOLA is a great road trip. The best in our conference by far.

Laissez les bon temps roullez. Party at The Wopper!
Re: SMU fans at road games
I have to say I was disappointed with the crowd last night. It was a good turn out, numbers wise, but the enthusiasm was not there. It was much stronger last year. There really was no sustained chant till the end of the game. ![]()
Re: SMU fans at road gamesI can't say I blame people for not wanting to drive 600 miles in one day to a basketball game that are in their right mind. That being said, it was a pathetic SMU turn out - the only people making noise for the most part were 5O year old men.
Would like to throw a shout out to Baller who put in nearly a thousand miles. Last edited by One Trick Pony on Wed Dec 30, 2015 10:11 am, edited 2 times in total.
SMU fans at road gamesThe Pony faithful in Tulsa cheered pretty much none stop, just not together. It was a feisty crew, enough that we were receiving dirty looks from their fans and provoking a bit of jawing from their students. Plus, with Dr. Turner sitting with us it had to stay nice. No where near the energy in Vegas - but, those games were crazy fun and just a wonderful trip and experience. And, by the way our 50 year olds are the best!
