Re: Deion not happy with ChadHe looks like dad from the waste up. Problem is the legs aren't long enough to get him the speed his dad had. Decent hands, decent quickness, decent athleticism. I think he had a better chance of success at slot than at CB, because he just doesn't have the top end speed. But he isn't near seeing time over any of the other receivers on the roster.
From the return aspect, I get the complaint. Yeah, he returned out of the endzone last year, and the return stats were super inflated because of the number of returns. But this year, the numbers aren't bad: 15 kicks for 372 yards. Maybe deserved a shot over West and others to return kicks, but nobody can fault the coaches for trying to get those players more touches to get their feet wet at the college level. As the season went along and West was getting enough touches during the course of the offense (and the fact there weren't any playmakers at the position outside of West and Jones), Sanders got a shot and did pretty well. I suspect that he will be in the mix as a returner again next year if he doesn't leave.
Re: Deion not happy with ChadHe did a lot better this year-last year he looked either uncoached or uncoachable

Re: Deion not happy with Chad
HA...like the offense was going to do what? Listen, I am not defending Deion Sr, or Jr. They don't need me to do that. Just the facts as far as SMU being competitive. Jr was the most electric player on the field year before last. It's not like the replacements on kickoffs were all that this past year. I liked it when Jr. was on the field....at least there was a shot that something might happen. There had to be more going on behind the scene is what I think. Whatever....I would have preferred to see him have more playing time. He did get more at towards the end of the season...injuries? I don't know. Just missed him. Now, I await my buttkicking. ![]()
Re: Deion not happy with ChadBoom there's a black eye for you lol
Re: Deion not happy with ChadDeion is footballdad?
Re: Deion not happy with ChadWell. I guess they can't wait to transfer as soon as JJ gets his next HC job. He will definitely get playing time with JJ.

Re: Deion not happy with ChadHe couldn't get on the field for A&M Commerce. Please transfer Lil' Prime to anywhere that will take you.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Deion not happy with Chad
Couldn't that be said of a lot of JJ's recruits? Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Deion not happy with Chad
Now that we can agree on...so why single out Jr? He at least offered some spark.
Re: Deion not happy with ChadJr's been a good player, why the hate?
Re: Deion not happy with Chad
Why go whine to the news?
Re: Deion not happy with ChadBTW Braeden West had a better KO return average than Sanders in his "ALL AAC" year. West was at 23.5 yards per return and Sanders was at 20.5 in 2014. Then didn't West get hurt later in the year and then Sanders had more chances and he too had a better average at 24 yards per return. So looks like we got a lot more out of our Kickoff Team under the new Coach than we did last year with June's staff. Win Win. Sanders numerous mistakes in Kick Return game in 2014 were addressed. I personally would have sat his [deleted] on the Bench in 2014 the 2nd time he returned a Kickoff 8 yards deep or lined up at the 15 to return a kick
