Re: Get ready for another rock fightHate to say it but if we only have 7 left I dont like our chances againsy physical teams like Cincinnati
Re: Get ready for another rock fight
And that's why we play the game. Don't doubt these guys. They won't go down easy. Party at The Wopper!
Re: Get ready for another rock fight
Agree with this. Such a physical game and fouling will be an issue. You need depth and we don't have it. ![]()
Re: Get ready for another rock fightThis team has taken so much in stride but I just dont know how much more they can take. I am very impressed they have done so well under the circumstances
Re: Get ready for another rock fightThe lack of depth will probably cost us a game or two but it means Jarrey and Shake will get big minutes and that is a huge positive moving forward.

Re: Get ready for another rock fight
Agreed, but it also means if we don't sign more people we will be extremely thin next year too.
Re: Get ready for another rock fightI hope we sign four - Wilson, McDowell, Kapita and Froling. LB can almost gaurantee Froling he'll start.

Re: Get ready for another rock fight
If we did this then we would be set. Not sure how KF leaving affects our potential playing time pitch to Froling. Just seems we are putting our eggs in a 2 player basket. 1 we have to beat out Arizona and other schools, the other needs to become eligible. Looking back maybe we shouldnt have passed on Eric Curry ![]() We now may have a ridiculous amount of schollarships to give and still give some to our sanctions.
Re: Get ready for another rock fightFor any that need a booster shot of optimism to get through the week - reflect back on how you felt when Markus went down 50 seconds into Michigan. This team has shown ridiculous amounts of toughness when pushed. Yesterday certainly seemed like maybe some lethargy from recent KF news, but I think they can get their heads in the right place by Thursday and take care of business.
Re: Get ready for another rock fight
glad you qualified that with "almost". Ben & Semi will have something to say about it. Whoever we bring in as "bigs" next year will probably see plenty of minutes
Re: Get ready for another rock fightKeep in mind we can sign two bigs and eat as many as 4 scholarships next year (depending on attrtition) towards the sanctions. Still would be 9 deep. Pivotal point in our programs quest for sutainability
Re: Get ready for another rock fighti'm worried about UC not because KF left - but because they have a ton of length. You saw yesterday what that does to us inside. USF had very little talent but a bunch of height - and they were an handful. We eventually wore them down, but UC has height and talent. We would be down by 20 at the half if we play them the way we played USF. KF's defensive length and toughness really helpes against other tough minded teams - to think we won't be in a hard spot with a 2 man bench against UC and Uconn is dreaming. Someone better get Keith back in the fold, at least for the next six weeks. We can promise to find him a spot on a Europe or China team since that is where he should go for his own benefit anyway. School is just not for him, and the way he left is not going to make anyone want to sign him up.
Re: Get ready for another rock fight
That would be pretty sick. I'm guessing it doesn't happen, but it would be sick! Pony up!
Re: Get ready for another rock fight@JonRothstein
SMU stays undefeated with a win over USF. Ponies host Cincinnati on Thursday at Moody Coliseum. Expect a street fight of epic proportions. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four

Re: Get ready for another rock fightPredictions:
