Well, a lot of people are bagging on Keith here. I really enjoyed watching Keith. No one brought the house down like Keith did when dropping a 3. He is an exciting player and probably the only guy on the team that can truly create his own shot. Keith has made huge strides in his game and has become a more complete player. I think Keith is a natural scorer that wants his shots but I saw him buying into LB's unselfish style of bball. Keith has made sacrifices to his game. Keith was highly recruited and likely has lofty expectations on how far bball can take him.

However, I don't think Keith is alone in responsibility for this mess and the coaching staff does have culpability. Larry knew what he was getting with Keith and clearly wanted him badly. If Brown was going to pursue someone with so many flags and clearly not a fit for his style of ball, he should do more to make it work. I don't see the upside in pulling Keith as a starter. There are so few guys that everyone is going to get minutes. I also think more could be done to get Keith shots so he would progress to be the focal point of the offense next year. Keith can certainly be streaky, but when he is on, he can fill it up. Keith strikes me as a guy who needs some shots to get into the flow of the game. He seems to play better all around when he gets more touches. I can't defend him entirely as sometimes decision making and shot selection are issues.

I guess I will not understand how LB couldn't salvage this situation and make Keith happy with his role. Keith may not even be our 3rd or 4th best player but I do think his ceiling is higher than anyone on the team. He has made so much progress in becoming a more complete player. I just don't know how Coach Brown and Keith couldn't resolve these issues....especially LB given his experience. I'm not a coach but I'm sure quite a few large ego recruits get into it with their coach, but they work it out.

I'm gonna go make it rain now to lift my spirits. I will miss watching Keith.

Keith is the 7th best player on the team-8th if you include Semi

If I have someone who has hit 7 out of 7 threes (I am not counting a shot clock heave) I will ride him until he misses. Can't blame a coach for that. When was the last time Frazier hit 7 for 7?

I do not know how good an SMU education would have ever done for Frazier, but a degree in Larry Brown could have been priceless.

An SMU degree would have been zero for him - everyone would have seen through that in a heartbeat - at least his handlers knew that much. Have a good life Keith all the best to you and your family.

actually there are a lot of jobs that require a degree that might interest him. Big publicity last year around DISD Basketball coaches being pushed out if they didn't have college degree
