refs are people. They are effected by the things around them for sure. Home court means something - you won't ever get a reversal, but you possibly get the next call or a non call.

refs are people. They are effected by the things around them for sure. Home court means something - you won't ever get a reversal, but you possibly get the next call or a non call.

There was a study that came out a few years ago that showed that the only change in performance in terms of home field advantage is the refs. Shooting percentages are about the same. Turnovers about the same. But the number of calls changes.

I'm not a fan at yelling at the ref, but they are the biggest factor in providing home court advantage.

Yelling is not the answer. Persuasion comes in many forms. Starting with distracting sorority girls.
