I spent the first 16 yrs of my life in Northern Illinois shoveling snow. Lots of corn and lots of cold weather and snow in Jan & Feb. I bet he'll love it. Actually high school basketball in Illinois is very big. Great rivalries and hard fought games.

I know it's a different state, and a different sport, but for some reason it reminded me of this hilarious video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzhSpdPqexY

I got hammered in Champaign once. The hangover in the cold (February) was among the darkest moments of my life.

Urbana-Champaign is one of the most boring places that I've visited. UIUC built their library underground so it wouldn't shade a cornfield - that says it all.

Here's a select few: Go watch a HS Basketball game Go to the Men's Gymnastics meet There is an IMAX a few towns over if you want to see a movie on a big screen Go eat a burger at Farrens - the best buger in Illinois (I was told to go there once by an Illini friend - and it didn't even register on top 100 Dallas burgers) https://twitter.com/HarryFroling/status/685858225464344576

Used to drive through (or by the exit anyway) on the way to visit grandparents in Taylorville and Macomb back in the day

How high is this guy's ceiling? Seems we desperately need a big next year along Moore and Semi.

Thats a good game. Hope he stays that way too. We need him. Think how many times against ECU Tolbert or MK had loose defense on the hig post/3pt line. He can fill it up and will force defenses to gaurd that

I grew up in Chicago, C-U was colder. Remember the Tom Cruise movie "Risky Business"? "Well University of Illinois, here I come". UI was our fallback school, thank God for SAT's!
