Saw that idiot on the sideline. What a complete jack wagon. It'd been great if somebody stood up and clocked him.

There's always one, or two, or three at Bama.

Da fool had a side line pass and was next to the Bama bench. Why would you give a side line pass out unless the person was someone special.

Confession: I did not watch the NC and had zero interest. To me, this was the matchup to see whether Bama wins their 37th national championship in a row vs. the school whose last NC in 1981 only happened because SMU was on probation. I couldn't care less who wins that. Nor could I get excited about any of the bowl games this year. The only one I even tried to watch was the Rose Bowl, and I turned that off when it became apparent in the first 5 minutes that it would be a blowout.

I am glad that UH beat Florida State. . .but that's just an AAC thing. Otherwise, I'll tune back in when SMU makes a bowl.

well you are pretty typical of SMU fans-who really are not that big of College Football fans. It would be hard to find another fan base that only had a handful of comments on the National Championship like ponyfans. Go Cowboys! Go Mavs! Go Rangers!

I certainly agree with the comments about 'bama being the better team and better prepared and that Deshaun Watson is a stud.

On a tangential issue the report this morning is that Lane Kiffin missed the team bus leaving the stadium after the game.

Have to smile.

GO PONIES!

I watched only because I wanted to see Clemson beat Alabama. When that was not going to happen, turned the channel. I have seen Alabama celebrate before. Nothing special about that. They do have great football players don't they? Who knew?

Actually, I confess that's pretty true about me. . . except the pro sports part. I couldn't care less about the Mavs or Rangers, and I'm not much into the Cowboys other than Beasley. I'm an SMU fan. . .I attend, watch, or listen to every SMU football and men's bball game. . .I spend an unhealthy amount of time on PFs thinking about and discussing SMU athletics. . .and I follow SMU alum who make the pros. Beyond that, not so much.

I haven't always been like this. I used to watch a lot of other schools. In part, I think it might be fatigue as much as anything else. There are just way too many college football and bball games on TV nowadays. It's constant. On any given Saturday in the Fall, you can start the day at 10 AM with Maryland vs. Rutgers, and end it at 10 PM with Hawaii vs. Fresno State, with an unbroken string of games in between. And don't even get me started about the number of college bball games on literally every night this time of year. It's become white noise, and it gets harder and harder for me to care unless my beloved Ponies are playing.

When your program gets killed back in 87, why would the new generation care about college football, especially other schools? We were not in the title game and do not have a chance to compete due to conf affiliation. So who the f cares about Alabama playing Clemson and why do SMU fans need to have a 50 page thread for a game we weren't a part of?
