They better get used to it. Every road game is going to be brutal from this point on. I didn't even think it was that bad.

Should have responded back with a chant of "So are you!"

It wasn't bad at all. I expect 10x worse at UCONN and Cincy and temple.

Small empty arena the players can probably hear specific insults easier. Loud crowds can be more intimidating but it is just noise.

I could hear LB talking to the team during timeouts. It was a small gym and one is close anywhere in that gym. The TU crowd was pretty mild and got fired up when their team made a run. Their chants were fine, nothing profane at the players or disrespectful. A very ordinary crowd all in all.

The TU adults (Season ticket holders at midcoast) started the chant about 'On Probation'. That one kinda hurt.

This wasn't a hostile crowd by any interpretation. Pretty mild I thought.

I got a kick out of the "BEAT SMU" towels. When i walked in and saw them on the alumni seats i thought thet were really going to give us hell about some guy who used to play for us and wave towels. But they never really waved them.

After the game, ESPN3 panned the SMU crowd from the court. I was surprised at how many SMU fans were behind the goal......250?

I would guess about 300 hundred. There were SMU folks scattered through out the arena. Pretty tame environment all in all. TU fans cheered for their team but nothing vile or disgusting.

Markus sure seemed displeased with the TU crowd.

It may be related to the students on the first row baseline right under Tulane's basket for the 2nd half. I couldn't tell what they were saying, but there was a group of about 10 guys really letting our players have it anytime they went out of bounds trying to save a ball and every time when we would inbound the ball. They seemed pretty relentless.
