RB Jerry Hughes

6-2, 215 4.59(all verified at Rivals camp) Ft Bend Austin. Ran for 1412 yards and 19 TDs while earning unanimous 20-5A honors. Also returned 3 Kicks for TDs. Claims he will "visit" Iowa St, Arizona St, TCU, North Texas and SMU. Hopefully he can run a tad faster than that but he might make a pretty good LB candidate if not. If indeed he has set up these visits he sounds like he might be a a rising sleeper recruit. Rated 5.1 by Rivals.

Oh I missed that he is also listed as a Weakside Defensive End-Makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the position he is being recruited for-but I'm guessing. At that size and speed he looks like a much better prospect at a DE-LB spot.

i don't know about this kid being a nnabuife, but we better find a nnabuife-like beast out there on defense this year

TCU reporting on their website that Rivals Purple Menace says he has committed to the Frogs although I haven't seen it on the network yet.

Jery Hughes. No mention of an offer from SMU although he said about 10 days ago he planned to visit SMU after the Holidays.

Hughes commits to TCU (sorry). Will be looked at as primarily a DE. Big kid for a RB and Tommy Blake type of player.
