While certainly these issues exist on all college campuses the level of depravity and victim shaming by Baylor, the football program, fans, and its administration is staggering. Add to that the "holier than thou" attitude down there and its even more nauseating.

The reality is that for the first time since the 80's Baylor football is relevant. More than that it is now a financial windfall for the university and is poised to be a perennial Top 20 program as long as Briles is there. The university proved it is willing to do anything to protect that golden goose. If it means selling their collective souls and becoming 1990 Miami Hurricanes then so be it.

At the end of the day for all of their Baptist religious fervor and moral high ground bluster they are nothing more than a bunch of greedy leprechauns protecting their pot of gold.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Money and success corrupts. That's just how it works. Doesn't matter if you're a Baptist or an atheist or somewhere in between. It ain't right what's going on at Baylor, and it needs to be cleaned up. But it goes on in a lot of very successful places. This is only a Baylor story because the big boys want to restore order to the universe. TCU is up next.

Money and success in of itself do not corrupt but it may tempt one but it is always an individual decision. I know successful people that are not corrupt. And yes, TCU is probably up next.

I guess this is the message this Christian school wishes to send....Big 12 Champs baby, that's all that matters. I hoped for better from Baylor, SMU and TCU.
