Crowd was pathetic!!!

1) We have the most empty "sold out" arena in the country.
2) With 8PM start - no excuses?
3) Where in the hell were the students at tip -- In class????
4) Are there that many rich fans that don't give a [deleted] about using their tickets?

Worst of all why do so many people leave in a tight game with 2:00 left?

Sad that our fans don't realize how good they have had it this year watching a helluva product.

That is absurd. 75% full at least. Crowd wasn't into it partly because the team played with such a lack of energy at the beginning of the game. Got loud when we made a stand and a run in the second. Lots of just shock with the number of easy buckets we gave up.

I think it is clear that we have a lot of people coming who support the team and want to watch good basketball. But they aren't SMU diehards just yet. Program is still in the beginning. Give it time. But certainly NOT the worst fans in the country.

need to give away your seats if you are not going to be in attendance. plenty of ppl who would take them off your hands, or throw them on stubhub for a reasonable price. This weekend will be bumping though, no doubt about that when the zags come to moody.

guy that sits next to me has 2 seats and lives in Austin. never gives them away and rarely makes it to a game on the weekday. I enjoy the extra legroom but I am sure this happens with some of the other empty seats too

Yeah, I've got two next to me that are empty for every single game. Front row of the section, too. It's nice though, 'cause my friends that have seats higher up can come visit... not sure why the hell nobody ever uses those seats though.

Personally, and I hate to say it, I expected the crowds to start dwindling a bit once the 'undefeated season' became impossible. Most of us on this board are 'all in' no matter what, but there's not much incentive for a casual fan or alumni to be very invested in this season.

On the upside, secondary market prices for the Gonzaga game are solid. Should be a full house for that one. If we're in regular season championship contention on March 3rd (as we should be), I'm sure the UConn game will be rocking, too.

I agree on the last point - Pathetic people in my section that were leaving with 2 min to go in a game where we were down by three. What are they doing sitting through 38 min of a 40 min game only to not see the end result of the game?

Worst of all - there were so many of these people that they were in the aisles blocking our view of the final 2 min.

And by the way - the profile of those who were exiting was all over the place - not just the blue hairs trying to get a jump on getting out of the parking garage, but young alums in their 20s (I am by the young alum section).

Seriously. This is B.S. If they want to stay home for Gonzaga, please do so - give your tickets to someone that might want to watch the end result of the game- so that I can see the end of the game.

I live in Austin, have season tickets, and rarely make it to the weekday games. Last night was the first game my seats were empty. I give them away or sell them every time. I tried this time too, but got no takers.
