Using crap athletes to press D1 kids is asking for a layup on the opposite end, if not an easy transition 3. You slow the game down to get kids a blow, if you're using walk ons, not speed it up

Sutton's not a crap athlete, rusty perhaps. When I've coached back-ups know they are only out there for 3 minutes and they need to make the most of it. Also, they bring energy to the game by pressing that can be infectious to the starters. Lastly, it provides a change of pace to the opposing team which could lead to a turnover or two. On offense, of course, you slow it down.

When Wilfong was in a couple of games ago he got torched on defense. If you notice, yesterday Larry subbed him in as the 3 or 4 in a small lineup to try and hide him, and then subbed him out the next deadball before an adjustment could be made.
