Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEThey'd be in the Top 25 if Briham had played all season-not a good team my [deleted]

Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEThey are chock full of talent, kids who can get their own shots. We have very little of that. That said, they basically roll the ball out and ISO. Ollie isnt much of a teacher or bench coach. They're ok, but certainly not nearly as good as some of their individual pieces.
Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEwe will win at moody. they are are a good match to us.
Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEJust incredible. Every player they have is better than any player we have. Their half court sets are the gold standard in basketball. Did you see how well they moved the ball....just incredible.

Re: UConn VERY AVERAGELol Jalen Adams can create for himself at will. Hamilton can run the offense from the top of the key or play from the elbow to facilitate or get his own. Purvis gets to the rim at will although can have trouble finishing. Shonn Miller is a true back to the basket post scorer.
Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEUconn is a much better team with Adams at point and Gibbs off the ball, but Gibbs did a great job of limiting Nic's looks
Re: UConn VERY AVERAGE
Yup. That's essentially all they do on offense cause legit sets certainly aren't part of their package. They let their guys work
Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEAccording to KemPom we are pretty similar to SMU and the AAC standing indicate that as well...
I do agree this is not a vintage UConn team but there is talent... They've come a long defensively from the beginning of the season. When Brimah was out of the line up, they still held several teams in a row under .40% shooting. It's clear that for Ollie (like Calhoun) it starts there... The offense is coming around - the line up changed a great deal from last year and chemistry has been an issue. It's definitely getting better. I like our chances - a great defensive team that can make free throws makes you competative most nights.
Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEIf Brimah continues like he did last night you guys will be just fine. He has definitely gotten back into game shape since his time off.
Good game. Finish it out with just the scheduled loss to us in Moody and then make a tourney run. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEIMO they are above average at the moment. I thought UConn played a pretty great game. Their defense was great and with Brimah getting back into playing shape, I think they are going to be a pretty competitive team in the tournament (assuming they make it). They have to focus on playing together and not forcing the un-disciplined shots. Just my two cents.
Re: UConn VERY AVERAGEDisagree - I thought that they looked pretty good. I think that UConn and Tulsa are the two best conference teams we have played - and they each took one from us. I am not sold on Temple (even though they are leading). If they don't have the insane 3-point shooting day, we would have handed them a loss.
The fact that UCONN beat us and don't have to play us in the conference tournament makes me think that they will end up winning the American Tourney, get a 6-7 seed and then go onto the final four - just like a couple of years ago ![]() I am rooting for them the rest of the way. I hate Cincy, Hou and Tulsa - so I cannot support their causes in the same way I can support UConn. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR

Re: UConn VERY AVERAGE
And yet Durant may get Kevin Ollie a NBA head job. Ridiculous.
