You're going to be sad. We will be unranked next Monday and it would take a meltdown of epic proportions for us to finish first.
That game went about how I thought it would.
My only wish left for the year is that we win senior night at Moody for Nic.

Temple is about to lose two straight, IMHO.

Our defense is killing us. We can't get stops when it matters. UConn scored every time on a time out. We have no rim protection at all. That is where the lack of size is a killer.

Offensively, could have been better if MK and JT would kick it back out like they did earlier this year. I suspect LB told them to take it hard to the hole to get Brimah in foul trouble. We couldn't get him to leave his feet enough. But the real problem was on the other side of the court. Take out the 3 pt % from the stats and look at what the two teams shot from 2 point range. SMU 18-45, UCONN 20-38.

Agree, that was very confusing. Tolbert was killing us down there and we just continued to feed him. He is a shell of the first 12 games Tolbert unfortunately, just no legs left it seems.

Seemed like they wanted to foul Brimah out and he didn't cooperate. It was his first really good game since coming back. They are a legit top 25 team when he plays like he did last night. This is another case of our getting a team's best effort.

Positives: Ben Moore...great game including being automatic on that short jumper FINALLY!!!

Shake: confidence in a conference road environment. Best road effort since Tulsa.

It's the Shake and Ben show next year.

UConn is a good teamed winning on the road adjacent good teams is always a challenge. We still have Memphis and Cinncy to go as well. We really need to take care of business at home. I thought bothe teams played well. SMU has to learn (and it does take time to learn) how to play against teams that are gunning for SMU. SMU is now the bullseye for teams in the AAC. We have to learn how to step it up.

Sterling will be solid as usual but Ben is looking more and more like a 20 and 10 guy. If he continues to improve he could contend for AAC POY.

And yes...i did forget about Semi. It's been a long wait!

It's funny, I could easily see Sterling going for 14 or 15 per next year. Hes just the type of kid whom when called upon as the leader, will lead. If scoring is what his team needs, that's what he'll do. If Ben's jumper remains true, he's addressed his one massive weakness
