BUT THEN WHAT WILL WE COMPLAIN ABOUT
Defense-for at least one more year-then the fun begins

Actually they may have started last year; not sure. Just trying really hard here.
Not a lot of selection, but they do sell some.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Yup, and it's local stuff too.
We will always have student attendance to complain about

Compare their upgraded stadium to ours and there is your answer.

So we should wait fifteen more years to build the IPF and then compare it to their IPF?
Re: Will the SMU IPF look better than Houston's new IPF
We will just wait 15 more months to start starting it.

Sat next to a friend who is in the know, and he says the facility raise will be $60 million, and that one of the regulars has started it out with a $3mil pledge.

60 is high. It is closer to 40. David Miller gave 2.5 to get things rolling. There is a "get it started" pledge brewing and it is pretty close, supposedly.

Rough estimate was $50M after RGT and the BoT balked at the initial price tag that was north of $100M. Lead donor has been in the bag for awhile now but it isn't someone who is synonymous with previous donations. Very exciting that this individual will be associated with our program moving forward.
