4 teams in = plenty of opportunity to earn some respect for our league. All have tough match ups.

Houston has a tough bracket in the NIT

I'm actually quite surprised, and pleased, by the number of bids the AAC earned. Now the conference needs to show that it deserved them by winning some games. Tulsa. . . BEAT MIGHIGAN!!

Good number of Bids but tough match ups. I like UCONN over CU because they have the players to take away CU's inside game. Cinci has a decent chance against St. joe's as well. Temple and Tulsa will struggle IMO.

Tulsa is the 5th team in the 10 year history of the bracketmatrix.com to make it in while being in less than 10% of the brackets (Tulsa was in 1 of the 144 brackets so far). The last team was NCSU in 2014.

So, in two years we have gone from being the team that got screwed over to being so good that beating us at home gets you in even when no one thinks you deserve it.

Tulsa was taking a beating on ESPN talk shows this morning. Everyone upset as the selection of Tulsa instead of Monmouth who played 15 road games losing only 4 games and beating UCLA, USC, Notre Dame and Georgetown.

In a weird way, I think the Selection Committee was giving a bone to the AAC. They knew we were tossed for what some may consider ticky tac reasons. We were a team with a legitimate chance to make a deep run. Tossing us, hurt the conference more than us (economically). So, adding Tulsa might have kept the conference from raising hell with the NCAA. I've always thought that the NCAA enforcement folks pay no mind to the effects their punishments have on the other teams in a conference. But the Selection folks, might have had a receptive ear to that discussion.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Tulsa really needs to play with a chip on their shoulders and take Michigan out. People here in SC are upset with Tulsa getting in over South Carolina. When Tulsa's guards are on, they can play with anyone. Guard play has been the key at tourney time. Should be interesting.

getting 4 bids was a really good thing for our conference, but we have to start winning more of these games. Being a 4 bid league in a year where the top teams in the conference were all pretty competitive with each other just puts us where the A-10, Missouri Valley and even the Colonial have been in past years. We need to be able to sustain that level of respect year in and year out so we don't ever have to worry about only our tourney champ getting a bid. I'm definitely pulling for our remaining teams to make some noise...but worrying that the AAC could go 0-fer this year.

Well UCONN took care of business, Tulsa played well but they honestly weren't that good still can't believe we lost to them at moody.

would be great to see UConn take down Kansas but we need more than one AAC team to make some noise in this tournament
