Add Bruno and this is a Top 15 class in the entire country. We are dreaming. For once, it happens to be reality as well.

My point is I cannot find anywhere this kid said where he would be going. I researched it and can't find any comment he made to anyone. His most recent comment was from two weeks ago when he said his decision would be forthcoming. None of the schools are claiming victory, I was only making the point above. Nobody really does know.

I read a lot on Kapita and Froling and I am sorry but neither have Boldin's talent coming into school. Froling is a 3 star and Kapita is a 4 star. Froling is considered a good passer and can score, not sure if he is underrated but unless you have personally seen him I am not sure you can rate him. He is so well thought of that he was left off their country's national team. I am not saying that to put him down, but it does say he isn't automatic and certainly not Boldin's caliber at this time. Kapita is considered an unpolished athlete that runs the floor well. I expect both will do well, but they are not Boldin.

So you are saying Ferguson is an absolute no go as well? He will not attend our school? The seats they were sitting in are not purchased and where recruits sit. I realize that Boldin was likely with a friend, but really we didn't speak to either while they were there? Shame on us if we didn't.

Again, if you are an insider then I will rethink the facts I have found.

You haven't found any facts, that's the thing. Your entire question flies in the face of how recruiting actually works. I don't care what you've read, who you've read it from. Youve coming on here spewing junk about "stars', when we know that's not how this program always works. certainly, we chase our fair share of highly regarded kids, but we also EVALUATE. See Nic, sterling, Jarrey, Ben Moore etc. rankings and offers don't always tell the tale w SMU hoops. Saying Kapita isn't on par w Bolden is beyond dumb. One may have a betters NBA ceiling, but what does that do for us, SMU basketball?

If you read about Feoling, you'd know his being left off the U18 national team was a freaking travesty. Heck, if he gets downgraded for a crapmpolitical pick, why doesn't Tom Wilson get an extra star for making the team? Does Bruno become a bett recruit cause he started for Angola? At this rate, Yanick may go down as Angolas all time leading FiBA scorer, which was worth about 10 ppg to us.

We'll get a killer PG in 17, possibly add a stop gap PG in '16 and probably Bruno, who may actually redshirt. Yes, redshirt. If that happens, we're stacked for effin ever, and you're complaining about a malcontent local in Ferguson and a kid that's far more ceiling than polish.

Just the U18. His goal is to play for the Boomers' top squad. So, you know, he must suck cause all good 17 year olds play for their national teams. Thought you knew that.

Hoop you are one of the few on this board who knows what is happening on the recruiting scene and I very much appreciate your insight.

Question: Are we better next year or worse? Losing "The Big 3" is a big loss but as you say we have quite a bit coming in. What do you think? A team that starts slow but jells down the stretch into a solid tournament team?

Froling may be a steal. He was picked as the MVP of the 2016 NBA Basketball Without Borders camp held during NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto. The best international players in the world were at the camp.

Next year, we do everything we can to dance, though it will be close. We're certainly more talented than the Salty Seven, but chemistry and determining roles doesn't happen overnight. It's gonna take Shake a minute or two and he needs to show some alpha, but I'm pretty confident in the kid.

In terms of team versatility, we have more pieces that do different things next year. Froling and Semi can pick and pop or extend to 3. Kapita is more skilled facing than Markus ever was etc. Larry just has to establish roles and nurture it. Don't get lineup change crazy

One of the great threads in recent memory...

Next year is the type of year I love. So much unknowns. Talent is there though. More than before
