Twin towers at SMU?

Postby The Q » Thu Dec 29, 2005 5:52 pm

Fall has a lot of improvement, but he's a very appealing prospect. He got pushed around a little -- needs to get a lot stronger. However, in addition to being tall (and long-armed), he looks very quick and instinctive on the defensive end. He's going to block a hell of a lot of shots.

One thing that caught my eye: near the end, Tubbs went to a tall lineup with Rack and Fall in the lineup at the same time. That's not going to be an offensive juggernaut, but that is a lineup that will cause some nice matchups on the defensive end. Rack has looked a lot better than I thought he would as a shot-blocker this year, and Fall is going to be a defensive force. Seems to me that Tubbs could play these two together (in brief spurts), and the perimeter guys could play very high pressure defense on the outside.

Thoughts?

Was hoping to see that line up and glad I did. Not one to use on anyone with speed, but could cause some trouble for some teams at least for a few minutes. Hope to see it again.

Big Mo was really funj to watch - he is getting better each game.
