You must hang out with the most delusional TCU fans on earth because almost everyone in Fort Worth has a much more reasonable assessment of the TCU program than what you describe... that it is one of the worst power 5 basketball programs in the country, no one's "dream" job and as far as being a sleeping giant... I consider it more like a sleeping dwarf... perhaps the right coach can wake-up the sleeping dwarf so that we can make the NIT every once and a while. Having said this, the school has made an investment in the facilities and the right coach can make it better.
As a Fort Worth resident, this is my experience as well. I have yet to meet any TCU folks who think their bball program is elite. . . or even should be elite. The attitude I usually see is something along the lines of, "Yep, we suck at basketball. But that's OK because our football program is awesome, and that's what really matters anyway."

IMHO - Considering the Murder and NCAA Penalties, the Baylor program today is simply a miracle.
Do unto others before they do unto you!!

I am fine with this. I can't see him doing that great at TCU. No reason why we shouldn't continue our bball dominance over our FW neighbors.

It's not like we are competing against each other for DFW area recruits

this is the second consecutive hire where TCU has saved another school money by hiring a coach from a school that was going to fire the guy in the next 12 months.
