We need to have a PF gathering at Daily Pint - awesome bar on Pico in Santa Monica.

Starting near SC is better, so downtown is good. Arts District Brewing

Don't the airlines already know when Thanksgiving is? Bet they are already high. Problem may be more of availability.

No doubt downtown is closer to USC and if you're only concerned about going to the game that is your best option. The South Bay and West LA are my hoods so that's where I'll stay and hangout Sat/Sun. I think I'll try to catch an early flight Friday morning and head over to the USC area that afternoon. I'm assuming it will be a night game....I'm not very familiar with downtown but I know they have added a lot of new bars and restaurants around Staples Center. Arts District Brewing sounds good.

As smusic mentioned there are a ton of SMU alums in So Cal. I expect we will have a really good turnout.

SMU was so smart to take Moody to 7k capacity.

USC
Arena capacity: 10,258
Avg. Home attendance (2013-14): 4,370
Avg. Home attendance (2014-15): 3,492
Percentage change: -20.1

Two bad seasons in a row will do that to most schools' attendance. This year USC rebounded to an overall average of 4,600+ with a sellout vs. UCLA and four other games at 6,000+ (http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/usc ... _stats.pdf). As they are expected to be in the top 3 of the Pac-12 next season, those numbers will climb even further.

This is anecdotal evidence, and tangential to the above-mentioned topic, but I'm living in Phoenix for a year, and I have tried--really tried--to give half a sh*t about Pac-12 football and basketball. I don't. I simply can't get into it or care at all. Big 12? Sure. ACC? Yep. SEC? I can care. Even the Big 10, as long as it's not a Purdue-Indiana 12-6 snooze-fest. But the Pac 12? Couldn't care less. Filled with a bunch of schools that just don't generate any feelings in me at all as a casual fan. Went to see ASU v. Colorado (not a marquee match-up, I'll acknowledge), and I just couldn't give a darn.

Usc plays notre dame in La this year so the game will be the day after ours. I'll
Probably stay an extra day and watch that. Coliseum for an ND game is a great experience.

I suspect we will have as many fans there as USC, especially since no students will be there. Hopefully not as much of a morgue as Stanford was
