$2000 a year divided by minimum hourly wage at $1.50 = 1,333 hours to pay for one year at SMU
today
$64840 divided by minimum hourly salary at $7.25 = 8,943 hours to pay for one year at SMU
so by my calculations SMU cost 6.7 times more today than in 1968.
