UNC Men's Basketball is Laughing Right Now

What started largely as a result of a men's basketball player
alleging fraud by the University, has resulted in an Amendemnt of Notice
Of Allegations that are devoid of any charges against the men's basketball team.

Let the uproar begin.....

Turner, Hart, and Brown need to be standing behind a podium publicly condemning the NCAA this time tomorrow afternoon and stating that we will be retaining counsel to look into legal action against the NCAA.

Or we can just learn from our mistakes and move forward. We messed up under the new system and that's all on us.

I will admit that the delay in the appeals process was ridiculous.

North Carolina's legal bill is north of 10 million freaking dollars right now sorry we don't have that kind of cash to throw at things like this

How would we ever win a lawsuit? It's not like we have to stay in the nCAA. I feel like the answer to the complaining would be "fine then leave if you don't like us"

Well said. Almost sounds exactly what I wrote a few days ago in another thread. SMU needs to stand up to the NCAA and hold a press conference immediately! Now is the time. F the NCAA!

Probably better spent by renting a billboard outside the NCAA offices in in Indy with a comparison of the SMU, Syracuse, and UNC situations and respective punishments and appeal results. It would get media attention which might lead to an investigation of the difference.

Hey....what's everyone up in arms for. After all, it appears as though UNC's Women's Basketball program is really in for it this time. The NCAA is going to nail them.

The way I see it, the NCAA's revised notice yesterday basically sets it up for UNC to skate on everything. From the articles I ready yesterday, it sounds like everything related to the fake classes for athletes got dropped and, as I understand it, that was the meat of the whole investigation... with that conveniently dropped, I don't see them getting more than a slap on the wrist for anything.

It is so awful to know that the NCAA, which should be regulating the colleges fairly, bends over backwards to violate the trust and responsibility they are invested it. What a fraud this bunch is! And they do it with a straight face! No shame whatsoever!
