So what does a program do if the two players it was expecting to show up in August that never signed during the spring, decide to go elsewhere on July 31 and the school is just left with 2 less players than it was supposed to have and now it's too late to fill the scholarships? Do recruits to Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, etc just say, "I'm not going to sign any paper now, but trust me, I'll be there when school starts the end of August"?
