To take it one step further. SMU needs to stand up for itself and hold the NCAA accountable. I am still insistent that SMU needs to hold a press conference and bring to light how ridiculous the SMU punishment is vs Syracuse vs North Carolina vs Louisville.

If SMU does not hold a press conference... If SMU does not say anything... If SMU does not do anything... SMU is choosing to take no action and showing everyone that SMU agrees with the imposed NCAA punishment of scholarship reductions. What is SMU afraid of? SMU has already been punished by the NCAA. No one at SMU agrees with the SMU NCAA's punishment and quite honestly no one agrees on the NCAA's handling of UNC... so instead of saying nothing, sitting back, bending over, and taking it...

SMU should stand up to the NCAA, state the facts, ask for answers from the NCAA, let the media drive the discussion. Ask why no one questions the NCAA with regards to its handling of UNC, Syracuse, or Louisville. This would be a big National Story. The idea that SMU should just be quiet is totally ridiculous. We need leadership now at SMU. If we have any dreams of once again being part of a P5 Conference, we need to stop allowing the NCAA do whatever they want to SMU. We need to demand respect from the NCAA. We need to act like a P5 School. Point out the fact that P5 Schools are treated differently than Non-P5 Schools. We need to point out the injustice to the media. SMU deserves more from our leadership. Turner, Hart, and Larry Brown need to stand up. Stand up for SMU! Stand up to the NCAA! If not now, when?
