Women's Basketball
Dallas Wings has the TCU women's basketball coach as one of their TV announcers. That has got to be a help in recruiting for their women's basketball team. I wonder if Travis Mays could get a guest appearance as an announcer for the Wings.

I am sure a lot of local women's high school basketball players know who they are. Very good crowd, I see lots of DFW women's high school teams at the game. Looks like a fun atmosphere.smupony94 wrote:Doubt more than 3 people have heard of the Dallas Wings

Isn't this their first year? And why are they called the Dallas Wings when they play at UTA?

Same reason the Cowboys are called the Dallas Cowboys when they play in Arlington.

Did we really pass? I know only a handful of people care about the WNBA but it does have a small following and it's never a bad thing to get people on campus.

Have to believe the athletic department could have used the additional income.skyscraper wrote:Did we really pass? I know only a handful of people care about the WNBA but it does have a small following and it's never a bad thing to get people on campus.

The logistics may have been a problem. Would they use it for practices, too?
Where would cheerleader camp move to?

Their season starts in May and ends in September. They could have scheduled camps on weeks where the team was on a roadtripsmusic 00 wrote:The logistics may have been a problem. Would they use it for practices, too?
