And Scott Drew is, ironically, now much like Dave Bliss while he was at smu. The spotlight being on football, Baylor hoops keeps doing its thing

The question is who is going to do the hire? AD going to survive this?
He should be out on the street along with Briles and Starr, but apparently he's just being sanctioned and placed on probation.

Re: Briles out?
Why would anyone want to take on the mess right now? Is the AD surviving? They need to hire a dedicated Alum like Singletary to get them through the next couple of years and then they can reload.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Briles out?
I agree, Chad is not going to take that job. You have no idea if the NCAA is going to impose sanctions or Baylor may self impose sanctions and major restrictions on it's football program. The report must be pretty damning if Baylor is firing Briles.

There really is a picture of him in a Baylor shirt when he was our coach

Can we recruit a guy who has signed a letter of intent? We have a couple of scholarships left, right?

Texas bites. Baylor sucks. As it was in the beginning, is now, and evermore shall be. Amen.

No one is touching a coach with a 2-10 record
BS-he may not top the list but there are plenty of people at Baylor that know exactly how great Morris will be. Come on
Exactly. If this had happened 1.5 years ago, Chad would have been at the top of their list. Nothing he has done since then has diminished his value IMO. Question is would he take it or not?

Re: Briles out?
Coaching searches are largely about ego. Baylor can't hire a 2-win coach from SMU because Baylor fans view that as beneath them, no matter how good an idea it may be. This is why so many searches get screwed up-trying to make people happy rather than doing the right thing.

Re: Briles out?
I note the Baylor press release says nothing regarding Bennett as interim coach. I am sure it is true, that may not be set in stone.
