Pac-12's (limited) expansion options

Re: Pac-12's (limited) expansion options
This is a ridiculous post.
We currently don't offer winning football. That's a huge negative towards expansion. And to say we have the D/FW market might be a bigger stretch. I dont even think we have the park cities market. I agree that the Pac 12 is somewhat limited if the Big 12 stays together, but the negatives of a place like BYU or Boise State are much easier to swallow than the negatives of SMU if they are forced to expand. SMU has a better chance of going to the SEC who would be attracted to getting more games in Texas, could care less about the level of competition, and would actually increase their academic profile. But its all moot unless win do better than 7 wins.

They have the sexy 1800 market in which 300 are really basketball people.

Most likely

It's called small conference syndrome.

Are you illiterate? I literally wrote twice in that post that we don't bring much, if any of the DFW TV market by ourselves. And I thought it was implied that any of this is based on us being competitive in football, competing for conference championships, etc. The Pac-12 will wait for an answer from Texas first, which won't come for another five years or so.
Also- there's a better chance of us getting into the SEC? Maybe you should post less.

It would be pretty cool if SMU were to get into a P5 conference no matter which one it was.
