UC president leaving

The president at UC, Santa Ono, who has been a terrific person for UC, and the main person in their attempts to move to the Big 12, is leaving for a college in Canada. I wonder how that is going to effect any thoughts for UC moving, if that was going to happen.

Dan Wolken did bring up the Big 12 angle. Thought it was interesting that he was leaving in the wake of such an extensive and public push to try and get into the Big 12, despite the fact that he was returning home.

UC, Santa Ono, had about as much chance of getting into the Big 12 as Incarnate Word of San Antonio does. Maybe less of a chance, since Baylor is championing Incarnate Word as a worthy opponent for a Big 12 team and has put them on their football schedule for next year.
