well one is at Marshall, one is at SJSU and one is at Louisiana Tech. Two of them at least apparently weren't admitted to the university.

who went to Marshall, Haugabook?

I say we move Chris Phillips from TE to QB :) . Play ball control, we dont hold blocks long enough to throw many deep balls anyway. His arm isnt that weak is it? The guy I saw last spring can compete anyway.

Shhh...dont mention Spring practice around Stallion it's barely a step up from 7 on 7 drills, but wait its about Phillips so yeha he a had a great Spring Practice, give him the Heisman. I actually like CP but constant opinions would be nice.

While we're on the topic, and it looks like we'll have a RS frosh QB starting next year, anyone see the RS freshman W. Virginia started in the Sugar Bowl? Damn. Maybe Willis will have similar poise. What was he (the WVU guy) rated coming out of high school?

Pat White was rated as a 3 star athlete witha rivals rating of 5.5. Just like McCann.

What was Willis again? Honestly, that surprises me. I was sure he (White) must've been a four-star. I'm impressed....both with how he looked last night & with some of the guys we're getting now.

Willis also would be rated 5.5 and 3 stars. Though to be fair, White had interest from LSU, Vandy and a handful of other SEC schools, he orally comitted to LSU before switching to LSU on signing day.

_______

Another expert conclusion from our ol' friend stallion. Are you and billy joe the same guy?

Recruiting isn't over yet but yet again, the sky is falling.

At least wait until mid to late January before you call someone out that harshly. It appears at this point that Stallion is correct in his response, but let's at least wait until these next two weekends are done before you start spouting off at coach Bennett. If we don't pull in a good QB, we will all have from February until the spring game with nothing else to talk about, and some facts to back it up.

Good thing we didn't call him out for not signing a JUCO defensive tackle by January 3 last year. That Haywood kid was really the bottom of the barrel, huh? He didn't sign until early summer, right? And all he did was become one of the best -- if not the best -- defensive tackles in Conference USA.

Maybe there's a good JUCO quarterback still out there, maybe there's not. Nobody was calling for Haywood's signature at this time last year, because nobody knew about him. I'm betting there are some other players out there now that none of us knows about. We might get one, we might not. But calling out the coaches now does nothing but make us, as fans, look bad.
