He was granted his release from Baylor today. Has three years of eligibility left after he sits for one year. Maybe Chad can convince him to come to SMU because he cannot transfer to another Big12 school.

He could transfer here before we would be announced as a Big 12 team and that should not affect him. But him not coming to SMU in no way means we would be headed to the Big 12. He has very good options.
