It was a good ugly game, we had a chance and just missed. Agree that the follow-up slam would have given us a jolt, good crowd but 5 to 1 pony fans were out numbered.

This was a game we should have/could have won. If we ever get consistent scoring, we might have something. Although he plays hard, I do not know what is going on with Hopkins. He has been effectively shut out the last three halves he has played. The switch to shooting guard does not seem to be working out at least at the present.

OU was in his pocket for most of the game, the turnovers hurt but he still had a decent game........

I think he only had 2 turnovers. He had a rough shooting night with people draped all over him, but make no mistake that game is not nearly as close without Hopkins on the floor for us. He takes so much defensive focus that even when he doesnt score, he helps the team. That was the case last night I thought. If Hop and Dez ever get hot on the same night, we might have something. Dez needs to take his confidence and aggressiveness up a notch every game.

Glad to read someone is seeing what I am seeing :)
Hopkins has been "keyed" on his entire career here...I also not seeing enough picks set for Hop or anyone for that matter.

If you read my earlier post, I said the same thing. I just added to what his post said. Hopkins is not playing the same despite the defensive pressure.

I do not disagree that Hop makes this team much better whether he scores or not. However, I thought the reason Hop was moved to shooting guard was to take the point guard responsibility of directing the team off of him, so he could concentrate on being a scorer. I do not see that happening as of yet. I do enjoy watching this team play because they consistently play hard and seem to care although they their play at times can be very frustrating.

not surprised at the delusion on this board; Hop would be playing point if his teammates could play at half the speed he does; Having to play to the level of his teammates combined with the Tubb's decision to allow Rack and Killen to play and/or touch the ball is what makes him look "uncomfortable". You can bank on the fact that this team will not many games unless Hop scores 20+; Tubbs needs to define people's roles (i.e. rack is not a scorer) and start demanding the focus to be on supporting Hop so hop does not have to play out of rhythim and only get shots one out of every five trips down the floor because his teammates cant seem to play within themselves.
