Felony charges against football player. Paper also reports that assistant coaches are not allowed to talk to the media this season. Wonder what that is all about?

Re: More Baylor WoesTheir starting right guard.
How many more need to be suspended for us to be competitive? Three? Four? Just askin'.
Re: More Baylor WoesNow the county is getting involved wanting the information to see if any laws were broken.

Well, probably protecting the coaches from being asked "uncomfortable" questions about the whole situation because they know EVERYTHING. Those assistants knew everything AB knew - and at the time he knew it. You don't leave your loyal assistants in the dark about matters this serious. There is a company line to be delivered and the head coach passes out the script. You better know it by heart. If you're going to circle the wagons you gotta know what's going on. But, you can only deny, deny, deny for so long. I'm kinda surprised this Grobe guy would go in for this carp. I guess he owed Teaff.
Re: More Baylor WoesBaylor has gotten themselves right back in position of hindering another investigation. Note that the most recent victim of stalking reported that she had protective order because of 2 PRIOR incidents. McLennen County may be wanting information on those incidents

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: More Baylor Woes1. Isn't the McLennen County DA a moron? Both the way he handled the biker-shootout thing and this whole Baylor controversy lends themselves to mean the guy doesn't know his [deleted] from a hole in the wall.
2. Why the heck is the professor calling the athletic department if he has a student fear for her safety, even if it IS a football player? After all that's transpired, he should have called the police first, unless the DA IS, in fact, a moron/incompetent/bought.
Re: More Baylor Woes
We are close. This one will be competitive in the 4th quarter just like TCU was last year you can mark that down. Shake It Off Moody
Re: More Baylor WoesWe need a few more bears to get in trouble to have a chance.
Re: More Baylor Woes
1) The McLennen County DA's Office was the only institution in Waco that actually pushed forward with investigations and prosecutions of rape cases involving BU Football players. While they might not have handled everything "perfect," they are sole the reason Sam Ukwuachu got convicted and the reason that Tevin Elliott is in prison. In particular, their exposure of BU's "investigation" during the Ukuachu case was critical to exposing BU's Title IX issues. I do, however, agree with you that they mismanaged the biker incident. You can't throw everyone in jail (without bail) and hope to sort it out later. 2) I fail to see how the DA is responsible for the professor's decision to call the athletic department instead of the police. More importantly, the McLennen County DA is not in the Nuthouse/"Rehab" like the Dallas County DA. What a disgrace. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
