Re: Defensive tacklesIf you google him, you get a link to his mug shot. http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/ ... /25669253/
I assume he is a walk on because he doesn't appear to have layer a down at Iowa State after transfering in from a Juco. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: Defensive tacklesWell, we need the help. Hope that that aggression come out on the field AND not in normal life.
Best to out DT's as they are the anchor of the D. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Defensive tackles
Imagine the [deleted]-storm if Baylor tried to bring in a transfer with a similar arrest. Don't know why SMU would let him walk-on.
Re: Defensive tackles
Sort of like your quarterback last year punching a cop. Street fight/bar fight is one thing...[deleted] happens...punching out or raping a woman is quite another thing. Baylor can explain that I'm sure. ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Defensive tacklesWCJ trolling again. I remember when some TCU DE beat the [deleted] out of some frat kids last year...I think GP let him suit up a few games later

Re: Defensive tacklesThere is no decency in Fort Worth
Re: Defensive tacklesThere is one really average private school though...
I find it funny a fan of the school that gave that reprobate QB Paschall 18 chances with the law wants to criticise this move.
Re: Defensive tacklesGood to hear!
I was afraid this topic was about the defense making a tackle in practice. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Defensive tacklesGoes back a lot farther than that. Ryan Tucker back in the 90s
Re: Defensive tacklesThe best part of this thread is the increase in depth at the position.
"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Re: Defensive tacklesAgree PF. It feels llike a weakness is now a strength. If the freshman LB's can get on the fiield quickly I think we may be heading the right direction on defense.
Re: Defensive tackles
I don't hold it against either player. TCU has had its share of knuckleheads that got in trouble. Of course there is a big difference between having a player that is already on your roster get in trouble and letting a player with a violent disciplinary history at another school walk on at your university. Its what Art Briles did.
Re: Defensive tackles
1. Nobody at Baylor or Nationally would have given a rats-ass if those kids had gone to class, made grades and stayed out of trouble, regardless of how they performed on the field. There's plenty of room on rosters and in classrooms for second chances at a lot of schools, so long as they act right. 1a. Art Briles would be the HC of Baylor right now if he had done what DigetyDog did, which is take five seconds out of his life and GOOGLE THE NAME to find out why a FRESHMAN ALL-AMERICAN had been kicked off Boise State's team. But, no, Art took the chickenblank way out and and tried to say that he didn't know about the kids past, didn't know about his issues, that Peterson didn't *sniff* tell him that he wasn't a *sniff* fine young man. 2. As far as us getting a DLineman goes ![]()
Re: Defensive tacklesWe've got numbers at least of Defensive Lineman physically capable of contributing. I say keep em fresh-run them in and out unless someone takes the job. Several have been injury prone in their careers but they have some talent if healthy. Actually that group rates pretty highly from a recruiting perspective on an AAC team
